Do I have to be job hunting to use SignalLayer?
No. SignalLayer is a professional discovery platform — for searchers, explorers, employed professionals, consultants, advisors, founders, mentors, and people who just want their identity to be visible. Available for Opportunity is a status you choose, never a stigma.
Is my Signal public by default?
Only if you publish it. You can keep your Signal private while you refine it. When you're ready, listing in the Professional Directory is a one-toggle decision — and reversible at any time.
Why does onboarding take ~10 minutes?
Because Signals reveal identity, not just experience. The depth is intentional — it's what lets recruiters, founders, and the directory surface you for who you actually are, not for keywords on a résumé.
What does the founding member rate actually lock in?
If you upgrade before the directory reaches 100 published Signals, your rate ($9/mo or $90/yr) is yours forever — no future increases, ever. New members after that milestone pay the standard rate.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. Cancel any time from your dashboard. Your Signal, profile, and directory listing stay live on Free — you just lose the Pro-only refinements (Copilot, Compass, Trust Signals, premium themes, AI-Assisted Search visibility).
